In the biggest island in the Philippines, there lies a precious gem behind the mountains and never-ending forestland, a place called “Lake Sebu”. From the word “Lahaw sbu” of the T’boli tribe which means Lawa ng Sebu.

It is a very popular place located in South Cotabato where you can enjoy lovely sceneries and extreme activities it offers.

On the way there, you will be welcomed by Lamdalag Divine Mercy Shrine found in the very entrance of Lake Sebu. You can stop by to experience the solemnity and tranquility of the place. The best part of it is the 30 foot tall statue of Jesus Christ.

Lake sebu has so many tourist attractions to look forward to. Theres Punta Isla, Lake Holon, water rafting, and of course the Seven Falls. The first falls was named after a T’boli term “Hikong Alo“. It is 35 feet tall and can be seen nearby. The other falls are Hikong Beute, Hikong B’lebel, Hikong Liwong, Hikong K’fo, Hikong Utcoz, and Hikong Tonok .

You can either see them upclose or from above. There is a zipline you can ride that is 740 meters long where you can see the stunning beauty of the falls. It also offers a dreamy flight across the vast forest.

To complete your visit in Lake Sebu, you can enjoy doing stuffs with the T’boli natives. You can wear their traditional attires and got to dance with them with those unique rhythms produced by their traditional musical instrument.

Once your trip ends, you’ll realize that the wonderful experience you had during those times cannot be replaced by money. It was something worth keeping for for a lifetime. They always say that “You only lived once”, but no. That’s what we’re doing this whole time. It is right to say that ‘you only DIE once’ and it is inevitable.

We don’t know when will this life ends, so we better live the best out of it and make it all worthwhile
